Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.
— Pope John Paul II
This is such a powerful message from a great spiritual leader. Christ’s Resurrection offers such hope that nothing before or since can ever outshine. In His Passion and death, Christ bore the sins of all mankind, and paid the price for our redemption. In His Ressurection, He forever filled the chasm that sin created; thus reuniting mankind with GOD. In John Paul II, GOD continued to reach out to all nations and faiths; we are all HIS children, unmindful of the color of our skin, the language we speak, even how we perceive GOD to be. This is a source of deep joy for me and should be for everyone. Whatever trials, tribulations, sufferings, pains or anguish we may feel at different moments in our life, we have to remember that God knows of our suffering, our pains, our trials…also of our joys, hopes, and dreams for they, too, are HIS. The love of God is like a mantle that protects us from cold wind, sleet, rain and snow. It is like a life preserver in a storm…a beacon of hope amidst the tempest.
